Free Internet Access

To access the internet in the Gateway you must be a member of a KCC library. You will require a user ID and pin code which the library will issue you when you join.

Please be aware internet users must be 14 years or over.

 

What you can do:

• Have Fun!
• Explore the world through surfing the net.
• Ask for help. Although the Ashford Gateway advisors do not supervise the use of the computers they will always try to help if possible.
• Tell Ashford Gateway aedvisors if you stumble across a site that you feel may be in opposition to the ethos of the Ashford Gateway. Mistakes can be made and it is better that you inform us before we find out this information via the checks we do on sites visited (which could then result in your actions being reported to the Police).
• Tell us if you are offended by the behaviour or actions of other users at the computer stations.
• Be sensitive and thoughtful in your actions and use of language, to all other people working at or visiting the Ashford Gateway.

What we ask you not to do:

• Produce or send any offensive, obscene or indecent images or visit/download pornographic sites.
• Undertake any illegal activity including hacking or breaching copyright laws.
• Create and/or maintain your own website.
• Undertake your business e.g. Advertising.
• Eat and/or drink whilst using the computer.
• Use your mobile phone.
• Store or install material onto the hard drive of the computer.
