Background to the Ashford Gateway

The Ashford Gateway is a pilot multi-agency service that delivers public services in an innovative way, from a high street location with a departmental store-style approach, offering a wide range of public and voluntary services.

The Ashford Gateway was the brain child of KCC Chief Executive Peter Gilroy.  His vision to modernise the way in which public services are accessed is his ongoing passion.

“The Ashford Gateway is about creating a better experience for people and improving the quality of life by joining public services and making them more accessible in a friendly and attractive way.”

The Ashford Gateway brings together a wide range of services at one central location. The Ashford Gateway is about creating a better experience for people and improving the quality of life by joining public services and making them accessible in a friendly and attractive way.
