What is the Ashford Gateway Centre?
The Ashford Gateway Centre is an exciting new way to access public services. It brings together a wide range of services in one place in the heart of Ashford's town centre shopping area.

Where exactly is the Centre?
In the Park Mall Shopping Centre, Ashford.

What does the centre offer?
It offers something for everyone, from skills learning, to housing advice, access to voluntary organisations, County Duty Officers and even free internet access with the latest touch screen equipment.

What does it look like?
The Gateway design is modern, friendly and welcoming - much like any other shop in town with the public being encouraged to walk in and browse. Skilled staff are on hand to help with general queries as well as specialists from partner organisations.

What else can I do in the centre?
As well as all the public services available, you can access the internet free of charge, make automated payments to Ashford Borough Council (e.g. Council Tax) from the payment point and book and hire a meeting room. There is also a full calendar of advice sessions and training.

Who is involved in the Centre?
A team from Kent County Council, led by Mid Kent Social Services in partnership with Ashford Borough Council, Adult Education and other statutory and voluntary partners have all been involved in planning the centre.

How much has the centre cost and who paid for it?
Over a million pounds was set aside by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Social Services to fund the project.

What are the opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm.
